Group painting by members of Longburton Art Group
Each member was given two small “jigsaw” pieces to copy onto A4 paper. The assembled picture is from an original painting by David Hockney, though the original was not seen until after pieces were assembled.
Art Group – The Group currently enjoys a membership of more than a dozen local artists who meet on the second and fourth and fifth Wednesday mornings. Meetings take place in the Village Hall in the Spring and Autumn, and during the Summer there are usually some outdoor visits, weather permitting. Members' abilities range from beginners to accomplished artists, and although most paint in watercolour, they are encouraged trying out other mediums through demonstration films and visiting artists.
